I have already posted info about irregular verb SER = to be

just a revision
Ser
Singular:
1.yo soy
2. tú eres
3. el/ ella es
3. usted es
1.nosotros somos
2. vosotros sois
3.ellos/ellas son
3.ustedes son


and there is also one more verb for to be = ESTAR

and it is irregular as well
estar:

1.estoy
2.estás
3.está
1.estamos
2.estáis
3.están


we use SER
when we express: hour, day, date
place of origin
occupation
possession
nationality
essential qualities....

we use ESTAR:
when we express:
location (something is some where ..... If you want to say from somewhere you use SER)
temporary state or condition (of something or somebody e.g. I am ill = estoy enferma)
progressive tenses
