We hate to say that, but now its official, Kevin is leaving the group. Here's what the Nick, Brian, AJ, and Howie have to said about it:

“Earlier this year, after much soul searching, Kevin Richardson came to us and told us that he had decided to leave the group and pursue other interests. He gave his blessing to continue the music without him.

We have no intention of replacing Kevin, and the door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors.

This weekend we are returning to the studio to begin the follow-up to Never Gone, and will see you later this year with a new album.

Statement from Kevin Richardson

“After 13 years of what can only be described as a dream come true, I have decided that it is time to leave the Backstreet Boys. It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life. Howard, Brian, Alex and Nick will always be my little brothers and have my utmost love and support. I would like to thank the Backstreet fans for all the beautiful memories we have shared together and look forward to including you in the next phase of my life. I wish my brothers continued success and look forward to their new album.”

Luca, I think he'll start a family cause if you go back to the MTV diary 2005 you'll see some magazine scan with a quote of Kevin saying "I wanna be a daddy by the end of the tour" but who knows...(if that was the reason, then please allow me to say ITS A STUPID REASON...I mean Brian started a family and he's cool) maybe he'd continue music by his own( he said that he will include us in his "next chapter of his life" I dunno)...personally I don't think he'd be such a success solo...I mean look at Blue members they haven't been around lately and Bryan from Westlife I didn't even know he had an album after like 5 months of it's release

you got the point right?! anyway after thinking it over last night, I decided to respect his decision and to come to that he's not a little boy , he can make decisions for his own best.


Now, the bright side,
A) A new album is coming out later this year
B) We should be proud of them that NO band of their kind made it this far (13 years) name one band that lasted for this long

all we have to do is support them all in whatever they want to do. It's their life after all
